The good news / concern….
with the projected 22 cruise ships due to arrive in January alone plus the new cruise port in Puerto Plata opening late this year, this will all benefit the local economy and add to the need for rentable rooms and commerce- BUT, the local government needs to further support all the infrastructure to support this. While most of the local roads are in process of upgrades there are many other municipal projects that need to be addressed to support the large influx of tourists soon to arrive. All in all this is great news.
